Name: TVS MSP 345 STAR Driver
Author: TVS

Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Run the TVS MSP 345 STAR driver setup as administrator and match Windows architecture (32-bit vs 64-bit). If it still stalls, disconnect the printer, install the driver, then reconnect when prompted. Avoid compatibility-mode installs for this dot-matrix printer.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power on the printer, set it online, and reseat the USB/parallel cable. Connect directly to the PC, not a hub. In Devices and Printers, add the printer manually and select the correct port (USB001 or LPT1).

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing TVS MSP 345/Star print queue and old driver via Print Management, restart Print Spooler, then install the current package. Don’t mix 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.
