Name: TSST DVDWBD TS LB23A Driver
Author: TSST

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the package matches the TSST TS-LB23A hardware ID in Device Manager. Optical drives often need no vendor driver; Windows’ built-in `cdrom.sys` is usually correct. Run any TSST installer as administrator and avoid generic driver-updater tools.

Question 2

Drive not detected or discs not reading?

Accepted Answer

Check the SATA/USB connection and power, then test in another port. If Device Manager shows code 19/39, remove stale `UpperFilters`/`LowerFilters` values from the CD/DVD drive class registry key and reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows Update?

Accepted Answer

If the drive shows code 10/31, use Device Manager > Roll Back Driver, or uninstall the device and reboot. Do not mix older Toshiba/Samsung TSST packages with Windows Update drivers.
