Name: TSST DVDWBD SH B123L ATA Device Driver
Author: TSST

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

The TSST SH-B123L is an ATA optical drive and usually relies on Windows’ built-in CD/DVD driver. If a vendor package fails, run it as administrator, use Windows Update, or manually update the driver via Device Manager > DVD/CD-ROM drives.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the SATA/ATA cable and power connection, confirm the drive appears in BIOS/UEFI, and verify the SATA mode is not set incorrectly. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes or uninstall the drive and restart.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older TSST/third-party optical drivers, then let Windows reinstall the standard CD/DVD-ROM driver. Avoid duplicate driver updater tools; roll back if a Windows update breaks the drive.
