Name: TSST dvd rw ts h653g ata Device Driver
Author: TSST

Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the SATA/IDE cable and power connection, confirm the optical drive is enabled in BIOS, and use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. If Code 10/39 appears, reinstall the ATA/ATAPI controller driver.

Question 2

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Windows already provides a native DVD drive driver, so failures often come from a missing chipset/ATA controller driver or blocked installer. Install the chipset driver first, run the TSST package as administrator, then reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TSST/Samsung optical drivers and virtual-drive software. If the drive shows Code 19/39, remove upper/lower filter drivers and let Windows reinstall the generic driver; update firmware only with a TSST-matched package.
