Question 1

Install fails or shows Code 10/28?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing TSST/optical driver in Device Manager, reboot, and let Windows install its built-in DVD-ROM driver. Run any firmware/installer as administrator; do not force incompatible packages.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check SATA/power cables, confirm the TS-H353C appears in BIOS, and match BIOS SATA mode (AHCI/IDE) to the storage driver. In Device Manager, use Action > Scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version conflicts/duplicate entries?

Accepted Answer

Remove ghost or duplicate optical devices, uninstall old TSST utilities, and roll back if a recent update broke the drive. Prefer Windows Update/generic drivers over third-party driver-updater tools.
