Question 1

Install fails or Code 10/28?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TSST/Samsung optical drivers and third-party burning suites, reconnect the TSST CDDVDW TS U633J, and let Windows install its built-in CD/DVD driver. Run any vendor installer as administrator.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the TS U633J directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not an unpowered hub; try a shorter cable or powered hub. In Device Manager, check DVD/CD-ROM drives and use Scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version/filter conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove leftover upper/lower filter drivers or old optical software, then uninstall the device with “Delete the driver software” and reboot before reinstalling.
