Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

The SH-S223C uses Windows’ built-in optical drive driver. Remove failed installs in Device Manager, then let Windows Update install the generic CD/DVD driver instead of forcing a vendor package.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the SATA/ATA data and power cables, confirm the drive appears in BIOS, and use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. Try another SATA port or cable if needed.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Old burning suites or filter drivers can conflict. Uninstall duplicate/legacy CD/DVD software, reboot, then reinstall only the latest compatible burning tool.
