Author: TSST

Question 1

Install fails or error code 10/28?

Accepted Answer

The TSST TS-H652L uses Windows’ built-in CD/DVD driver; don’t install generic “driver updater” packages. Remove the device in Device Manager, restart, and let Windows re-detect it. If setup still fails, run as administrator and check the ATA/IDE controller driver.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm SATA/IDE power and data cables, check BIOS/UEFI sees the TSST drive, and try another port/cable. In Windows, scan for hardware changes; delete UpperFilters/LowerFilters only if the drive appears with a yellow mark and optical access fails.

Question 3

Version conflicts/read errors?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall third-party burning or virtual-drive software that installs filter drivers, then reboot. Use the correct 64-bit Windows driver, update chipset/ATA controller drivers, and avoid mixing old TSST firmware utilities with current Windows.
