Name: TSST CD DVDW TS H552L ATA Device Driver
Author: TSST

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the TSST setup as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for your OS version. If the package still fails, let Windows use its built-in CD/DVD-ROM driver; this DVD writer often needs no separate driver.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the SATA/ATA and power cables, confirm the TS-H552L appears in BIOS/UEFI, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. If it vanished after an update, uninstall the DVD/CD-ROM device and reboot.

Question 3

Driver conflicts or Code 10/39/41?

Accepted Answer

Remove old optical-drive entries and third-party driver packs, delete the device driver, and reboot. If the drive has no letter or filters are corrupt, back up the registry before resetting optical-drive UpperFilters/LowerFilters.
