Question 1

Installer fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Run the Trust setup as administrator, close camera apps, and temporarily disable antivirus. If setup still fails, open Device Manager, right-click the camera/unknown device, choose Update driver > Browse, and point it to the extracted driver folder.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB 2.0 port and cable; avoid unpowered hubs. In Device Manager, select Scan for hardware changes. Also check Settings > Privacy > Camera and allow desktop apps to access the camera.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Trust SpyCam or generic USB video drivers in Device Manager, tick Delete driver software, reboot, then install the 500N package. Do not mix driver versions; use Roll Back Driver if a newer update breaks the camera.
