Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Trust 100K Series Webcam, run the installer as administrator, and temporarily pause antivirus. If setup still fails, open Device Manager, right-click the webcam under Imaging devices or Other devices, choose Update driver, and point it to the extracted driver folder.

Question 2

Webcam not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct rear USB port instead of a hub, check Device Manager for a yellow warning or “Unknown USB Device,” and try another cable/PC. In Windows, confirm Settings > Privacy > Camera allows apps to access the camera.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Trust webcam driver in Device Manager, tick Delete the driver software, restart, then install the latest 100K Series package. If Windows Update replaces it, roll back to the Trust driver.
