Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Triumph Adler/TA printer queues and drivers in Print Management, restart the Print Spooler, then run the DC 2440 driver installer as administrator. Match the package to your Windows architecture (32/64-bit).

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear port and a known-good cable; avoid hubs. For network, confirm the DC 2440 has a valid IP, ping it, and add the printer by IP rather than relying on auto-discovery/WSD.

Question 3

Version conflicts/duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Windows may install a generic or WSD driver alongside the TA driver. Delete duplicate DC 2440 entries, disable WSD discovery if unused, and set the correct TA driver as default in Printer Properties.
