Name: TRENDnet TEW 624UB 300Mbps Wireless N USB 2.0 Adapter Driver
Author: TRENDnet

Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

run the TRENDnet setup as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and use a USB 2.0 port directly on the PC—not a hub. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

check Device Manager for an Unknown Device or disabled entry; uninstall it, unplug/replug the TEW-624UB, and rescan. Try another USB 2.0 port and avoid USB 3.0 hubs.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

uninstall older TRENDnet utility/driver and any previous 802.11n USB adapter software, reboot, then install the package matching the adapter’s hardware revision. If Windows Update replaces it, roll back the driver in Device Manager.
