Name: TRENDnet 300Mbps Mini Wireless N USB Adapter Driver
Author: TRENDnet

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the TRENDnet setup as administrator, unplug the adapter until prompted, and temporarily disable antivirus/SmartScreen. If it still fails, download the correct 32/64-bit driver package and install it in Windows compatibility mode.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a different USB 2.0 port directly on the PC, not a hub. Check Device Manager for “Unknown Device” or a warning icon under Network Adapters; reinstall the driver if present with an error. Test on another PC to rule out a faulty adapter.

Question 3

Version/driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TRENDnet or other 802.11n USB Wi-Fi drivers in Device Manager, including hidden devices, then reboot and install the latest package. Avoid running the vendor utility and Windows WLAN AutoConfig together.
