Author: TRENDnet

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Confirm you downloaded the correct TEW-648UBM driver for your Windows version and architecture. Run the installer as administrator, disconnect the adapter until prompted, and temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the setup.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port, preferably directly on the PC rather than a hub. Check Device Manager for unknown devices or warnings, remove and reinsert the adapter, and reboot before reinstalling the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts with Windows Wi-Fi management?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TRENDnet drivers/utilities and reboot. Let Windows install its inbox driver if available, then install the latest TRENDnet package. Avoid running third-party WLAN utilities alongside Windows wireless management.
