Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the TransAct POSjet 1000 driver installer as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the setup. Ensure you are using the correct Windows version package, not a generic receipt-printer driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check power, cable type, and port. For USB, try another port directly on the PC; for serial/parallel, confirm the configured COM/LPT port matches the printer and that the cable is not a charge-only cable.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Remove old POSjet 1000 print queues and TransAct drivers in Print Management, reboot, then install the latest manufacturer driver. Set the new queue as default and test a receipt print.
