Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the TI driver/TI Connect CE installer as administrator, close other TI software, and reboot before retrying. If Windows blocks an older driver, install the latest signed TI package for the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition instead of forcing compatibility mode.

Question 2

Calculator not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known-good data-capable USB mini-B cable directly to the PC, not a hub. Turn the calculator on and press ON, then check Device Manager for the TI USB device; reinstall the driver if it shows a warning.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TI Connect/TI Connect CE and stale TI USB drivers, reboot, then install one current version. Don’t mix driver packages; if an update breaks detection, roll back in Device Manager.
