Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the wheel and pedals first, run the Thrustmaster installer as Administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. Reboot before reconnecting the USB.

Question 2

Wheel/pedals not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for HID/game controller entries and test in Windows “Set up USB game controllers.”

Question 3

Driver/software conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Thrustmaster drivers and software, remove hidden HID devices, reboot, then install the current package before plugging in the Universal Challenge 5 in 1.
