Author: Thrustmaster

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Thrustmaster installer as administrator, disconnect the HOTAS Warthog first, temporarily disable antivirus, remove older drivers/TARGET, reboot, then install the latest package. Use rear motherboard USB ports, not hubs.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect both stick and throttle directly to USB 2.0 ports. Check Device Manager for unknown devices; uninstall and rescan if needed. Confirm TARGET and the firmware updater can see both units.

Question 3

Version or firmware conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Mixing old drivers with newer TARGET/firmware can cause missing axes or buttons. Uninstall TARGET and Thrustmaster drivers, reboot, install matching latest versions, then update stick and throttle firmware separately—not through a USB hub.
