Author: Texas Instruments

Question 1

Install fails or is blocked on Windows 10/11?

Accepted Answer

Run the SilverLink driver installer as administrator in compatibility mode for Windows 7/XP. If Windows rejects the old unsigned driver, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, install, then re-enable it.

Question 2

Cable not detected / no COM port?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port and cable. In Device Manager, look for “Unknown USB Device” or “Texas Instruments SilverLink”; right-click > Update driver > Browse, and point to the extracted driver INF folder.

Question 3

Version conflicts with TI Connect or older GraphLink drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing TI Connect/SilverLink software and old drivers, remove hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install one compatible driver version before reconnecting the cable.
