Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Use the correct Windows architecture/OS driver and run the installer as administrator in compatibility mode. If an unsigned-driver prompt appears, verify the source/signature; otherwise update via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse > Let me pick > Have Disk, pointing to the TI PCIxx21 x515 `.inf`.

Question 2

CardBus device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Enable PCMCIA/CardBus in BIOS, confirm the controller appears under System devices/PCMCIA adapters, and start the PCMCIA service if present. Reseat the card; check Device Manager for Code 10/12/28.

Question 3

Version conflict/old OEM driver persists?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the existing TI/OEM CardBus driver, reboot, then install the matching driver. Use Roll Back Driver or delete the driver package; compare Hardware IDs to avoid a generic PCIxx21 INF.
