Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Use the TI GemCore package compatible with your Windows version/architecture. Run the installer as administrator, disconnect other smart-card readers, and check Device Manager for an unsigned-driver prompt; allow it if needed.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the controller is enabled in BIOS/UEFI and seated correctly if add-in. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes and check for a yellow warning; install the PCI GemCore driver manually via Update driver > Browse.

Question 3

Version conflicts/code 10/43?

Accepted Answer

Remove older GemCore/smart-card drivers and hidden devices, reboot, then install the latest TI release. Avoid mixing vendor packages; roll back if a Windows update breaks the reader.
