Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

The CardBus controller may be disabled in BIOS or missing a Windows PCMCIA/CardBus service. Enable PCI/CardBus in BIOS, then check Device Manager for a yellow warning icon and rescan for hardware.

Question 2

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Modern Windows may reject the older TI package. Run the installer in compatibility mode for the target Windows version, or update manually via Device Manager → Update driver → Browse.

Question 3

Version/resource conflicts?

Accepted Answer

A generic PCI-to-PCMCIA driver can cause Code 10/12 or IRQ conflicts. Uninstall the current controller driver, restart, and install the TI/OEM package; avoid mixing generic and vendor drivers.
