Question 1

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check that CardBus/PCMCIA is enabled in BIOS and the card is seated; in Device Manager, look under PCMCIA/CardBus controllers. If absent, rescan hardware and check the PCI slot. Confirm Hardware ID `PCIVEN_104C&DEV_AC50`.

Question 2

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator and use an INF matching the 1410 ID. If Windows blocks an unsigned legacy package, use only a trusted driver and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement. Remove older driver packages first, then update manually via Device Manager > Have Disk.

Question 3

Version conflicts/Code 10 or 31?

Accepted Answer

Do not mix Microsoft’s generic CardBus driver with an OEM TI package. Uninstall the device, delete the driver, reboot, and install one package only; if it still fails, roll back or use the Windows inbox driver.
