Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Run the Tevion driver installer as administrator, close antivirus temporarily, and use a USB 2.0 port directly on the PC. If setup still fails, check Device Manager for a warning icon and retry after restarting.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port, avoid hubs, and open Disk Management to see if the drive appears without a letter. Assign a letter or rescan disks. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing USB mass-storage/controller entries for the Tevion drive, restart, and let Windows reinstall its inbox USB storage driver. Only install the Tevion package if the generic driver fails.
