Name: Tenda W541U V2.0 Wireless USB Adapter Driver
Author: Tenda

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Tenda W541U V2.0 package as administrator and in Windows XP/Vista/7 compatibility mode. On Windows 10/11, old unsigned Ralink/RT73 drivers may need driver signature enforcement temporarily disabled.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, look for an unknown USB device or Ralink adapter; update manually by pointing to the driver’s .inf file. Confirm you have V2.0, not V1/V3.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Tenda/Ralink/MediaTek wireless drivers and remove the device with “Delete driver software,” then reboot before installing the matching V2.0 driver. Avoid mixing packages or letting Windows auto-install a generic driver.
