Name: TechniSat SKYSTAR 2 REV2.6C Driver
Author: TechniSat

Question 1

Driver install fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

The SkyStar 2 REV2.6C uses older TechniSat PCI/BDA drivers; on 64-bit Windows, unsigned or poorly signed packages may be rejected. Install the correct WHQL/BDA package as administrator, disable driver signature enforcement only temporarily if needed, and reboot.

Question 2

Card not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check that the PCI card is fully seated and enabled in Device Manager; try another PCI slot. Install the SkyStar 2 BDA driver before DVBViewer/ProgDVB, and confirm the card appears under Sound, video and game controllers or DVB devices.

Question 3

Version conflicts/software errors?

Accepted Answer

Remove old TechniSat/SkyStar drivers and bundled DVB software first, then install one matching driver version. Avoid mixing BDA and older WDM packages; reinstall tuner software after driver update.
