Name: TASCAM US 1641 Driver
Author: Tascam

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the US-1641 installer as Administrator, try Windows compatibility mode, and temporarily disable antivirus. Remove any partial TASCAM driver first, reboot, then reinstall with the interface disconnected until setup prompts.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the US-1641 directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Try another USB cable, power-cycle the interface, and check Device Manager for unknown/USB audio entries. Reinstall the driver before reconnecting.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older TASCAM US-series drivers, reboot, and install only the US-1641 package matching your Windows architecture. Avoid installing multiple TASCAM driver versions side by side.
