Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Windows may block an older unsigned Tahorng MIDI I/O driver. Run the installer as administrator, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if required, and reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the MIDI I/O directly to a USB port, try another cable/port, and check Device Manager for unknown USB/MIDI devices. In your DAW, refresh or rescan MIDI devices and select both input and output ports.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate ports?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any previous Tahorng MIDI I/O driver from Apps & Features and Device Manager, remove unused MIDI entries, reboot, then install only the latest package matching your Windows version. Rescan MIDI in the DAW.
