Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, disconnect other HID tablets, and check Device Manager for error codes. If Windows blocks the setup, verify the driver package is signed and retry.

Question 2

Tablet not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port/cable and avoid unpowered hubs. In Device Manager, check Human Interface Devices for “HID-compliant device” or an unknown device; uninstall it and reconnect the WP5540.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing WP5540/HID tablet drivers in Device Manager, including hidden devices, then restart and install the current package. If pen or buttons misbehave after an update, use Roll Back Driver or reinstall the matching version.
