Question 1

Install fails or setup exits early?

Accepted Answer

Extract the downloaded LP 4245 package before running setup, run it as administrator, and confirm you have the correct 32/64-bit Windows driver. Remove any partially installed LP 4245 printer entry first.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, connect directly to the PC, try another port/cable, and power-cycle the printer. For network, verify the IP address, ping the printer, and confirm it is online. Restart the Print Spooler service.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

In Print Management, delete existing TA Triumph-Adler/KX driver packages for this model, restart the spooler, then reinstall the current LP 4245 driver. Avoid mixing old and new driver versions.
