Name: Steinberg UR22mkII Driver
Author: Steinberg

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the UR22mkII before running the Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver installer. Run it as administrator, allow driver signing, temporarily pause antivirus, reboot, then connect directly to a USB 2.0 port—not a hub.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a known-good USB cable and a direct port, avoid unpowered hubs, and check Device Manager for unknown devices. Close DAWs/audio apps, reconnect, and test on another PC to rule out cable or port faults.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver entries and related Steinberg tools, reboot, and install the latest UR22mkII-compatible driver. Match your Windows version and avoid mixing old and new driver installs.
