Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Confirm you downloaded the 64-bit TVS MSP250 driver—32-bit packages will not install on 64-bit Windows. Run the installer as administrator, close other printer software, and remove failed print queues before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check printer power and the USB/parallel cable, avoid unpowered USB hubs, and verify the port in Device Manager. If needed, add the printer manually and select the TVS MSP250 with the correct port.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing TVS/Star MSP250 driver and queue via Print Management or `printui /s /t2`, restart Print Spooler, then install the latest 64-bit driver.
