Name: SIS Processor to AGP Controller Driver
Author: SiS

Question 1

Install fails or shows Code 10/“not intended for this platform”?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the SiS AGP driver matches your chipset and Windows architecture. Extract the package and update manually via Device Manager → Update driver → Browse, rather than relying on old setup executables.

Question 2

Device not detected / yellow warning icon?

Accepted Answer

Enable AGP in BIOS, install the motherboard chipset driver first, reseat the AGP card, and check Device Manager for hidden or conflicting devices. The SiS Processor to AGP Controller often depends on correct chipset INF installation.

Question 3

Version conflicts, crashes, or display instability after updating?

Accepted Answer

Roll back the driver in Device Manager, remove conflicting AGP/GART entries, then reinstall the chipset driver before the graphics driver. Use System Restore if the system no longer boots reliably.
