Name: SiS 7002 USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller Driver
Author: SiS

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Old SiS setup packages often reject newer Windows. Run as administrator, try compatibility mode, or install manually via Device Manager → Update driver → Browse → Let me pick → Have Disk and select the extracted INF.

Question 2

Controller not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check that the SiS 7002 is enabled in BIOS and USB 2.0/EHCI hand-off is on. Reseat the PCI card or onboard connector, then look for yellow-marked USB controller entries in Device Manager before reinstalling.

Question 3

Version conflicts or Code 10/43?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing SiS USB drivers and reboot. If errors persist, roll back to the Microsoft EHCI driver or install the SiS package matching your Windows architecture; avoid mixing old SiS and generic USB stack drivers.
