Name: SilverCrest USB WEBCAM Driver
Author: SilverCrest

Question 1

Install fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the driver matches your Windows version and architecture (32/64-bit). Run the installer as administrator, close other camera apps, and temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks setup. If Windows rejects the driver signature, use the vendor-signed package.

Question 2

Webcam not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a direct rear USB 2.0 port instead of a hub, reseat the cable, and check Device Manager under Cameras/Imaging devices for errors. Uninstall the device, unplug it, restart, then reconnect so Windows can reinstall the USB webcam driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts after updating?

Accepted Answer

Old webcam software or previous drivers can prevent the new one from loading. In Device Manager, uninstall the existing camera and any duplicate entries, remove old SilverCrest/webcam utilities, restart, then install only the latest driver.
