Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The SiI3132 package may be unsigned or incompatible with modern Windows. Run the installer as administrator, use Windows compatibility mode, or update manually in Device Manager by selecting the extracted driver’s `.inf` file.

Question 2

Drive/controller not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the SiI3132 card is seated in the PCIe slot, SATA data/power cables are secure, and the BIOS/UEFI has the controller enabled. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes and check for hidden devices or Code 10/43 errors.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Old Silicon Image/OEM drivers can remain after upgrade. Uninstall the existing SiI3132 driver and choose “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then install the correct 32-bit/64-bit package once. Avoid mixing RAID and AHCI driver packages.
