Name: Silicon Image SiI 3114 SATARaid Controller Driver
Author: Silicon Image

Question 1

Install fails or driver is rejected?

Accepted Answer

Use the correct 32-bit/64-bit Silicon Image SiI 3114 SATARaid package, run the installer as administrator, and if Windows blocks the legacy unsigned driver, install it manually via Device Manager → Update Driver → Browse → Have Disk.

Question 2

Device or attached drives not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the SiI 3114 controller is enabled in BIOS, SATA/RAID mode is set correctly, cables/power are seated, and drives appear in the SiI RAID BIOS. Reseat the card if it is not listed in Device Manager.

Question 3

Version conflicts, yellow bang, or BSOD?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Silicon Image drivers and RAID utilities first, reboot, then install one matching driver version. Do not mix generic Microsoft SATA drivers with the vendor SATARaid driver.
