Name: Silicon Image SiI 0680 ATA 133 RAID Controller Driver
Author: Silicon Image

Question 1

Install fails or driver is unsigned?

Accepted Answer

The SiI 0680 uses legacy drivers that may be unsigned or unsupported on newer Windows. Run the installer as administrator, use Device Manager → Update driver → Browse → Have Disk, and select the correct 32-bit/64-bit `.inf`. If Windows blocks it, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Controller or RAID array not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCI card and confirm the SiI 0680 BIOS appears during POST. Enter RAID BIOS, verify drives are detected and the array is defined. Check Device Manager for an unknown RAID/SCSI controller and install the 0680 driver before expecting the disk/array in Disk Management.

Question 3

Version conflicts or BSOD after update?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Silicon Image RAID driver, reboot, then install only the SiI 0680 package—not SiI 3112/3114 drivers. Use Roll Back Driver or uninstall the device including driver software if duplicate/conflicting entries remain.
