Name: Sigma Designs NetStream 2000 MPEG Decoder Driver
Author: Sigma Designs

Question 1

Install fails or driver is rejected?

Accepted Answer

The NetStream 2000 uses a legacy unsigned PCI driver. Install as administrator and use “Have Disk” to point to the correct INF. On newer Windows, use a compatible 32-bit OS/VM or temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCI card and check Device Manager for an unknown multimedia/video controller. Try another PCI slot, confirm legacy PCI/IRQ settings in BIOS, and avoid slots shared with conflicting devices.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Sigma Designs drivers and third-party MPEG codec/filter packs before installing. Use the driver package that matches your Windows version and card revision; don’t rely on generic Windows Update drivers.
