Name: Sierra Wireless TRU Install Driver
Author: Sierra Wireless

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Sierra Wireless TRU Install package as Administrator, disconnect other Sierra modems, and temporarily pause antivirus. Confirm the package matches your Windows version/architecture, reboot, then retry.

Question 2

Device not detected after install?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port/cable (avoid unpowered hubs). In Device Manager, check Modems, Ports, and Network adapters, then rescan and manually point the driver update to the extracted TRU Install driver folder. Ensure WWAN/mobile broadband is enabled in BIOS or airplane mode.

Question 3

Version conflicts or old drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Sierra Wireless drivers and TRU Install entries in Apps & Features. In Device Manager, remove leftover Sierra devices with “Delete driver software,” reboot, and install only the latest package.
