Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing Sharp MX M623N/PCL6 entries in Print Management, reboot, and run the Sharp installer as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the driver package.

Question 2

Printer not detected on the network?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MX M623N has a valid IP, ping it, then add a Standard TCP/IP port using RAW/9100 instead of WSD. Enable SNMP if discovery still fails.

Question 3

Version or port conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Sharp PCL/PS drivers and delete stale ports before installing the latest PCL6 package. Match the driver architecture (32/64-bit) to Windows and avoid mixing WHQL and vendor installers.
