Name: Sharp MX 5110N PPD Driver
Author: Sharp

Question 1

Install fails or PPD won’t load?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the Sharp MX 5110N PPD matches Windows architecture (x64/x86) and add it via Print Management > Add Printer > Have Disk. If blocked by driver signing, use a signed Sharp package or temporarily adjust enforcement, then restart the print spooler.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Create a Standard TCP/IP port using the MX 5110N’s fixed IP instead of WSD. Verify same subnet, port 9100 or LPR is enabled, and SNMP/discovery settings aren’t blocking the queue.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Sharp MX drivers and stale queues in Print Management > Drivers/Printers before installing the new PPD. Delete unused ports and set the correct MX 5110N queue as default to prevent jobs using the wrong driver version.
