Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the Windows package matches x64/x86, run the installer as administrator, and use a Standard TCP/IP port set to RAW 9100 for the MX 4140N. Clear stuck print jobs and restart Print Spooler before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Give the copier a static IP or DHCP reservation, verify it is on the same subnet as the PC, and allow printer sharing/SNMP through Windows Firewall. Add the MX 4140N by IP instead of WSD.

Question 3

Version conflicts/duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Sharp PCL6/PS driver packages in Print Management, delete stale MX 4140N queues, restart Print Spooler, then install only the current PCL6 driver.
