Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Sharp MX 3100N driver and printer port, reboot, then run the correct 32/64-bit package as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the Sharp setup.

Question 2

Device not detected on network?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MX 3100N has a static IP, ping it, and add a Standard TCP/IP port using that address. Enable SNMP if print/scan status or features fail.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate printers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Sharp drivers and delete stale ports before installing. Keep one MX 3100N driver version, set it as default, then test print and scan.
