Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing Sharp AR-M355N printer entries and ports in Print Management, reboot, then run the installer as administrator. For USB, connect the cable only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Verify the printer’s IP responds to ping and that RAW/9100 or LPR printing is enabled. For USB, use a direct rear port and a known-good cable, not a hub. If discovery fails, add a TCP/IP port manually.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Delete old PCL5, PS, or Windows-class Sharp drivers, then use Printer Properties > Advanced > Replace Driver. Keep only the Sharp AR-M355N PCL6 T1 package installed and restart the Print Spooler.
