Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Sharp AM 900 installer as administrator. Disconnect the USB cable until prompted, remove any existing AM 900 entries in Devices and Printers, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the AM 900 is powered on and use a direct USB port instead of a hub. Try another cable/port, restart the Print Spooler service, then reconnect and let Windows detect it.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Sharp AM 900 drivers via Print Server Properties > Drivers, reboot, and install the package matching your Windows version and architecture. Avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.
