Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB cable, run the Sharp AM 300/400 driver installer as administrator, and reboot before reconnecting. Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks setup files.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the USB cable/port and power. For network use, confirm the AM 300/400 has a valid IP address and responds to ping. Remove old Sharp printer entries in Devices and Printers, then rescan.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Sharp AM 300/400 drivers, ports, and related software, restart, then install the matching 32/64-bit package. Avoid mixing Windows Update and vendor drivers; set the Sharp driver as default.
