Question 1

Installation fails or exits early?

Accepted Answer

Run the Seiko SLP 450 installer as administrator. For older packages, try Windows compatibility mode, disconnect the printer until prompted, remove any partial install, then reboot and retry.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known-good USB cable and a direct rear USB port, not a hub. Power on the SLP 450, check Device Manager for unknown devices or generic USB printing support entries, then uninstall and rescan.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall other Seiko SLP drivers and generic USB printer entries, delete leftover driver packages, reboot, and install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit SLP 450 driver. Confirm the SLP 450 port and label size to prevent stuck or blank jobs.
