Name: SecOVID Reader III Driver
Author: Kobil

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the SecOVID Reader III, run the installer as administrator, and temporarily disable third-party security software. Use the signed manufacturer package rather than forcing an unsigned driver.

Question 2

Reader not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct rear USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for a CCID/smart-card reader device and confirm the Smart Card service is running. Reconnect after installation.

Question 3

Version conflicts with older reader software?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous SecOVID/KOBIL reader drivers and smart-card middleware, remove hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install the current package before reconnecting the reader.
